Harvest Pita-wiches

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup plain lowfat yogurt
  • 1 tsp. honey
  • 1/8 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1-1/2 cups (6 oz.) Sargento® Fancy Shredded Mild Cheddar Cheese
  • 2 medium apples, chopped
  • 1/3 cup golden raisins
  • 1/3 cup toasted walnut pieces
  • 1/3 cup thinly sliced celery
  • 4 (6-inch) whole wheat pita breads
  • 8 lettuce leaves (optional)
  • Apple slices (optional)

Directions

  1. Combine yogurt, honey and cinnamon in medium bowl. Add cheese, apples, raisins, walnuts and celery; mix lightly.
  2. Cut each pita bread in half to form 2 pockets. Place 1 lettuce leaf in each pocket, if desired. Spoon 1/2 cup filling into each pocket. Garnish with apple slices, if desired.
