Harvest Pita-wiches
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup plain lowfat yogurt
- 1 tsp. honey
- 1/8 tsp. cinnamon
- 1-1/2 cups (6 oz.) Sargento® Fancy Shredded Mild Cheddar Cheese
- 2 medium apples, chopped
- 1/3 cup golden raisins
- 1/3 cup toasted walnut pieces
- 1/3 cup thinly sliced celery
- 4 (6-inch) whole wheat pita breads
- 8 lettuce leaves (optional)
- Apple slices (optional)
Directions
- Combine yogurt, honey and cinnamon in medium bowl. Add cheese, apples, raisins, walnuts and celery; mix lightly.
- Cut each pita bread in half to form 2 pockets. Place 1 lettuce leaf in each pocket, if desired. Spoon 1/2 cup filling into each pocket. Garnish with apple slices, if desired.
